Farewell Winter... Hello Spring

Finally, all the snow has melted in the backyard, except for this little patch that is still hanging in there. It will soon be reduced to a moist spot on the ground.

These are the first sprouts of green that are coming up in the garden. What a relief to see some fresh life poking through, and to have the temperatures consistently into the 60s this week.

Great pix. I love the focus on minutia. It's the "small" things in life that often bring the most joy and interest for me.

The fragile, green life bursting through that brown background is just beautiful.

It is in the 80's here with the daffodils in full bloom. It just makes me feel better all the way around to have the sunshine back! Hopefully spring is here to stay!

Love your pictures.

I enjoy it so much when people post pictures on their blogs. I do not have a camera now or even a scanner so seeing others pictures are what I can get right now.....might chcek to see how much a scanner cost.

Thanks James! I enjoy taking pictures of the small things that can easily go unnoticed.

Lena, thanks. It was really warm here last week too. Almost like summer, and I was loving it. Now we’re back to cooler spring weather, but at least it isn’t winter!

Mosiacmind, I always enjoy seeing pictures on people’s blogs too. And I really enjoy posting them. Maybe you could find an inexpensive digital camera—then you could upload the pix straight onto your computer, without needing to scan them.

Thanks Kelly, I like that one too. Spring is such a powerful force, but it manifests in such small, fragile ways.
